I recently graduated from GU and now I’m on the job hunt. To prepare for my job prowl
I have probably reworked my resume 20 times. Having my resume critiqued is one of
the best choices I made in preparation for my job search. Bosses, teachers, colleagues
and pretty much anyone who could look at my resume, did. They gave me great advice,
some advice contradicting others, but overall, the more you hear about your resume
the better it is.
Now, as I take my first step into the professional world, I am sure of one thing, that my resume showcases me to the best of my ability. It’s hard to make your resume stand out amongst hundreds of others. The trick is to edit, edit, edit; the more people who critique your resume, the better.
A tailored resume is especially important since the Fall Career Fair is rapidly approaching on Wednesday, October 22. Now is your chance to have real professionals critique your resume. The Career Center will have three employers available for drop-in resume reviews through the month of October.
Bring a hard copy of your resume; reviews are available on a first come, first serve basis. This is a free service offered to GU students on behalf of the GU Career Center and our guest employers for the day.
