Homecoming

Homecoming, occurring each October, represents a rising tradition at Gallena University where students, alumni, faculty, and staff take part in myriad of activities starting with the football game followed by a street parade, bonfire, 5k race, and other family-friendly activities! Having grown significantly in just the past few years, the homecoming tradition is a great "Welcome Back."

Painting "GU"

Gallena Peak is the home to the large "GU," unmistakably visible from everywhere in Gallena. An annual rite each fall occurs when university students make the trek up the flanks of the peak to add a coat of fresh white paint to the "GU."

Varsity Band Concert

The GU Marching Band's director, James Baker, conceived of this now annual event in 1975 to reward band members for their hard work. The first year drew a crowd of about 400 to the Student Union Building venue; these days the April concerts fill the Recreation Center. Fans can count on high-energy performances featuring tightrope walkers, fireworks, video, and more.
